**NFF Appoints Bruno Labbadia as New Head Coach of Super Eagles**

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially appointed German coach Bruno Labbadia as the new head of the Super Eagles, effective immediately.

NFF Secretary General Mohammed Sanusi made the announcement early Tuesday via the NFF’s official X account.

The announcement read: “The Nigeria Football Federation is excited to confirm that it has reached an agreement with German tactician Bruno Labbadia to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, the Super Eagles. The NFF Executive Committee has endorsed the recommendation of its Technical and Development sub-committee for this appointment.”

Labbadia will become the 37th head coach of the Super Eagles, succeeding Finidi George.

He will oversee the team’s preparations for the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualification. The Super Eagles’ next matches include a home game against Benin Republic on September 7 at the Nest of Champions in Uyo, followed by an away fixture against Rwanda three days later.

The team is set to assemble on September 1 in Uyo for their training camp.
