**Olusola Ebiseni Switches Allegiance to Labour Party, Becomes Ondo Governorship Candidate**

Olusola Ebiseni, once a gubernatorial hopeful with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially left the party and been named the Labour Party (LP) candidate for the November 2024 Ondo State governorship election. Ebiseni described his transition to the Labour Party as a “homecoming.”

Addressing the press in Akure, the state capital, Ebiseni was accompanied by members of the Labour Party’s National Transition Committee (NTC), including Comrade Abdul Waheed Omar, Dr. Kingsley Okundaye, Prof. Theophilus Ndubuaku, and Folu Bademosi. He emphasized that his candidacy is in full compliance with the Electoral Act.

“I am back home. We will serve the people of Ondo State. Every significant developmental project in the state has been accomplished by the Labour Party. We’ve seen deputies take over from governors, but we are here to heal the land and provide a fresh start for the people,” Ebiseni stated.

He highlighted the Labour Party’s significant role in Nigeria’s political arena, with high expectations for success in the forthcoming election.

Detailing his plans for the state, Ebiseni said: “We will fully utilize our state’s vast resources, including a highly qualified workforce, our ranking as the fifth among the nine oil-producing states, extensive coastal assets with the longest shoreline in Nigeria, rich forestry and agricultural resources, and valuable mineral deposits. Our aim is to foster comprehensive development for our great state, supported by a well-trained and impartial civil service.”

Ebiseni also reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Ondo State under the Labour Party banner, noting that the party’s symbol of a united family reflects the meaning of his name, Ebiseni. He pointed out that the Labour Party has a strong foundation in the state, with himself, his running mate, and numerous other politicians from various parties having previously served Ondo State in different roles.
