Nigeria’s D’Tigress are set to face the United States in the quarterfinals of the women’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This matchup follows D’Tigress’ historic achievement of reaching the last eight for the first time.

The Nigerian team secured their quarterfinal spot with a notable 79-70 win over Canada in their final group game on Sunday, finishing atop Group B with five classification points.

This will be the second Olympic encounter between the two teams, with the Americans having narrowly defeated D’Tigress by nine points during the Tokyo Games and again in the 2024 Olympic qualifiers.

In other quarterfinal matchups, Serbia will take on Australia, Spain will face Belgium, and France will go up against Germany.
