In a bid to alleviate the high cost of food items amid widespread hunger in Nigeria, the Federal Government, through the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has suspended import duties on rice, flour, wheat, and other essential food items.

The Comptroller-General of the NCS, Mr. Adewale Adeniyi, announced the decision, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing the rising costs of essential food items and reducing hunger across the country.
