Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has revealed that she took legal action against a blogger, Adabasioni Oluwafemi Aseoro, after he allegedly defamed her by circulating a manipulated video. She said the blogger was arrested and held in Ikoyi Prison for two weeks.

The controversy began after Eniola attended the burial of Odunlade Adekola’s father, during which a video was captured of her interaction with Odunlade’s wife. According to Eniola, the blogger edited and posted portions of that video with false narration, turning it into an object of ridicule and public mockery.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page, she said:

> “Adabasioni took videos of me … manipulated the video to suit his narrative and posted it online … I chose to respond … I ensured he was detained in prison for two good weeks at the Ikoyi prison. He assassinated my character; he paid for it in full!”

She added that the blogger was unable to provide any evidence to support his claims. She further revealed that after his arrest, his mother and three wives pleaded with her to show mercy.

Following the ordeal, she forgave him, stating that he apologized and retracted the false content. Eniola also used the opportunity to warn other bloggers against using social media to spread defamatory content, saying she would not hesitate to take lawful action in the future.
