Street-pop sensation Portable (Habeeb Okikiola) has emphatically declined a ₦100 million offer to face off in a physical fight against social media personality VeryDarkMan. Calling the amount insufficient, he has instead placed his demand at a staggering ₦1 billion.
The feud began after Portable criticized VeryDarkMan for attacking President Tinubu’s administration. What followed were public diss tracks, heated exchanges online, and heightened media interest. Amid this drama, a celebrity promoter, Soso Soberekon, reportedly offered ₦120 million as a purse for the fight. Portable rejected it outright.
In a viral video, Portable dismissed the ₦100 million offer and asserted:
“That ₦100m? My fans give that to me all the time. It’s too small for me to fight VDM. If they can give me ₦1 billion, I will fight—and beat him.”
He further criticized the logic of facing someone who’s beyond legal reach:
“Someone you can’t jail, and you’re now asking me to fight him? You’re scared of him.”
Portable even referenced a past incident involving a proposed fight with rapper 50 Cent—where he turned down roughly USD 100,000, arguing that it didn’t match his value.
