Celebrity stylist and entrepreneur Chioma Ikokwu, better known as Chioma Good Hair, recently responded to a fan who urged her to settle down. In a candid Snapchat reply, she made it clear—marriage isn’t something she’ll rush just because others expect it.

Chioma emphasized that, though she’s in her 30s, she’s unmarried by choice, not circumstance:

“I know you mean well… stop pressuring me… I’m in my 30s, I’ve got time! We are not in 1885 anymore… It’s not by circumstance. It’s by choice… I’m not going to settle because everyone’s walking down the aisle, and some are getting divorced six months later. God’s timing is everything. I’ll do it right. Love you though because I know you mean well.”

She added that anyone who would’ve married her before turning 30 “would’ve cried,” as she wasn’t ready to give up her personal goals:

“Tbh, anyone that would’ve married me before 30 would’ve cried because I truly wasn’t ready. I still wanted to travel the world, grow in my career and be free. Am I satisfied now – yes! Am I ready now? Yes! Am I desperate – absolutely not!”
