Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has reignited the debate over regional representation in Nigerian politics, stating that the next president should come from the South‑East—a view tied to his broader political ambition.

Previously, Yul declared his intention to run for the presidency in the 2023 polls. Although his bid didn’t materialize, he emphasized that the South‑East deserves the opportunity to lead the nation. As he put it:

“This time around it’s the turn of the South‑East to produce the next President.”

Yul has also pledged to uplift Nigerians from poverty and foster unity across all regions, reinforcing his vision for inclusive leadership.
