“Once You Stop Giving, You Become the Bad Person” — Paul “Rudeboy” Okoye Speaks on Entitlement

Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy (ex-PSquare), has shared strong thoughts on entitlement, stressing how generosity can attract resentment when support ends.

In a candid message on Instagram Story, he lamented:

“Sometimes in life, the people wey you dey suffer for and carry cross for no go send you … until you stop giving them. Then you will become a bad person.”

Paul highlighted the irony of people only reaching out when they need assistance—and turning cold when it stops.

He has long criticized the growing trend of self-entitlement in modern society, previously calling out individuals who disparaged him despite his assistance. Once, after helping with a child’s medical care, he faced harsh insults from the beneficiary, which he described as heartbreaking.
