Award-winning Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola has firmly addressed the constant questioning about her relationship status, declaring she’s single and emphasizing her focus on professionalism and personal boundaries.

In a recent interview with Tribune, Odetola explained that she does not currently have a boyfriend and underscored that queries like “Where is your man?” from fans and media are unhelpful distractions. She emphasized her preference for keeping her private life separate and focusing on her craft.

Speaking on experiences within the film industry, she added that actresses can be vulnerable when they blur professional lines. She shared:

“Producers may have some outside professional interest in you… For me, I work with producers, directors and filmmakers that stay professional. Once there is any hint of extra, I draw the line.”

Odetola also revealed a personal fact that surprised many: she’s aquaphobic and avoids water bodies such as pools and the sea, and she dislikes parties.
