Nollywood actress and producer Ruth Kadiri has addressed swirling rumours suggesting she’s deliberately concealing her husband, Mr. Ezerika. In a candid appearance on the Dear Ife podcast hosted by Diary of a Naija Girl, she firmly dismissed suggestions of secrecy, explaining that the couple simply prefers a more private lifestyle.

Kadiri emphasized that her husband is actively involved in her public life—they attend church services and events together, and he often appears at functions she organizes. She said:

“My husband is not a secret. People who know me know him … We go to church together, we attend events together, my life is not as private as people think.”

She highlighted that maintaining their privacy is a mutual decision, aimed at protecting their relationship from undue drama and public scrutiny. Both during their intimate wedding in 2019—with just 50 guests—and in everyday life, they’ve orchestrated a balance between public appearances and personal space.

Kadiri added that her husband prefers to stay out of the spotlight, focusing more on spiritual content than public persona. This affords him freedom from external pressure and keeps their marital dynamic grounded.
