The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed sorrow over the devastation caused by flooding in Borno State, which has led to loss of life and displaced thousands of residents. In a statement issued by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party extended condolences to the victims and called for swift action from government agencies to address the humanitarian crisis.

President Bola Tinubu, currently abroad, has ordered the immediate evacuation of residents in flood-affected areas, while Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Maiduguri to assess the damage. The flooding has also led to a jailbreak, with three inmates recaptured, and 80% of animals at the Sanda Kyarimi Park Zoo reported dead.

Morka urged both state and federal authorities to provide relief and assistance to those impacted, expressing the party’s hope for the full recovery of the victims.
