Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has acknowledged his familiarity with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho amid rumors linking him to Chelsea.

Sancho has become a transfer target for Chelsea this summer, with speculation suggesting that he might join Juventus before potentially moving to Chelsea on a permanent deal next summer.

During a pre-match press conference for Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League play-off second leg against Servette, Maresca addressed the interest in Sancho. He stated:

“If we’re signing a player just for the sake of it, I’m not interested. However, if we can acquire someone who will genuinely benefit us, then I’m on board. Jadon is not our player at the moment. I know him well from my time with City. But he is not our player right now, and we’ll see what happens.”

Maresca’s comments reflect his cautious approach towards potential signings, emphasizing the need for players who can make a meaningful impact.
