Police in Nasarawa State have apprehended Khadija Umar, also known as “Naira,” and her two sons for their involvement in a series of housebreaking and theft incidents. The arrests were made by operatives from the Angwan Lambu Division.

According to a statement from the Nasarawa State Police Command, Khadija Umar was the mastermind behind the thefts, scouting neighborhoods and monitoring residents to identify targets. She reportedly coordinated with her sons and two other accomplices, who are still at large, to execute the thefts.

During the operation, police recovered a variety of stolen items, including two television sets, two 6×6 mattresses, a gas cooker, a 12kg gas cylinder, a standing fan, a GoTV decoder, cooking pots, an electric jug, a refrigerator, and solar panels. These items are believed to have been taken from several homes in the area.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrests and assured the public of ongoing efforts to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects. The Commissioner of Police for Nasarawa State, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered a manhunt for the outstanding suspects and directed that the arrested individuals be charged in court once the investigation is completed.
