Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has announced the release of his seventh studio album. The Afrobeat superstar shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, stating, “Album dropping 12AM.”
The new album is set to be released on July 30. This announcement follows the recent celebration of the fifth anniversary of Burna Boy’s Grammy-nominated 2019 album “African Giant,” which he commemorated with a concert at the KOKO Camden in the United Kingdom.
Burna Boy, a multiple award-winning artist, continues to make headlines as a leading figure in promoting Nigerian music globally with his critically acclaimed albums and historic sold-out concerts. In 2019, he won the Best International Act at the BET Awards and was named an Apple Music Up Next artist.
